Greenjet launches shared-ride private jet discount card
Greenjets has launched the Greenjetcard, which it describes as the industry's first and only shared-ride private jet discount card. The company claims that a a Greenjetcard Black membership saves travellers 60% or more compared with standard Greenjets seat prices and up to 90% compared with charter, fractional ownership or jet cards.
A confirmed seat on Greenjets between New York and Florida will cost $1,100 per person with the new card membership. Greenjets currently services New York, Florida, Chicago, and Boston and will begin service to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington, and Atlanta in the next few months. Throughout 2010 and 2011, 27 markets including Dallas, Houston, and Phoenix will form part of the Greenjets Shared-Ride Network.
Greenjets says it has repackaged the private jet into a more affordable consumer unit – the seat rather than the entire jet. This is unprecedented in the business aviation industry, and enables travelers to save time and money while they share the private jet ride.
