Expedition sailing yacht to be sold in fractions
Long Tall Sally, an expedition sailing yacht currently in development is to be sold on a fractional ownership basis. She is currently being prepared for her maiden journey around the world, going off the beaten track to Spitsbergen, Greenland, Northwest Passage, Antarctica and Kamtsjatka.
The 33-metre sailing ketch is designed to withstand the challenges of high latitude sailing, and is due to be joined by a fleet of identical yachts “set to take on the adverse conditions of the globe's roughest seas all year round”.
She is to be built at the Bloemsma shipyard in Holland with her outfitting taking place in Claasen.
Dutch naval architects Dykstra & Partners are responsible for both the architecture and exterior styling with interior design by Rhoades Young.
Long Tall Sally is for sale with Dutch brokerage company De Valk as part of a fractional ownership scheme and is scheduled to be delivered in 2011.
